A common ground – for all of us.
We are gearing up for our upcoming Sistah Vegan conference, The Vegan Praxis of Black Lives Matter. It is an online interactive web conference scheduled for April 24-25, 10am-5pm PDT Zone.
Creating a safer space to talk about veganism, racism, neoliberal whiteness, new forms of colonialism, and anti-Blackness is the goal of this timely conference. I wanted to let everyone know that I have contacted all the presenters with a letter to remind them the importance of creating such a safer space for everyone. Here is an excerpt from the letter:
Most importantly, when you write your talk, please make sure that you are mindful of not reproducing oppression.
